About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiographer to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our radiography service.
Main Duties
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all staff and departments, liaising with all members of the multidisciplinary team and other professional health care groups to ensure a quality, patient-centred, seamless service.
- Provide the highest possible standard of care for patients, including maintaining a level of clinical and administrative competence while acting within the standards of proficiency expected of the position.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers, providing information and guidance on treatment and side effects, as well as managing radiotherapy radiation-induced toxicity and cancer-related side effects.
- Participate in the departments on-going clinical & quality audit programme and appropriate work-related developmental projects.
Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Therapy Radiographer.
- Demonstrable experience in radiotherapy planning and imaging techniques, including the ability to analyse images and develop and maintain good working relationships with all staff and departments.
- Strong organisational ability with good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information and deal with anxious and demanding individuals using diplomacy and persuasion.
