Job Overview: We are seeking a Buildings and Maintenance Coordinator to join our facilities management team at our Build to Rent development in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day maintenance and repair activities, ensuring the smooth operation of the property, and providing exceptional customer service to our tenants.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate the scheduling and execution of routine maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to tenants.
  • Repair and Replacement: Oversee the repair and replacement of defective equipment and fixtures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Contractor Management: Manage relationships with third-party contractors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor and report on maintenance costs, ensuring cost-effective services without compromising on quality.
  • Tenant Satisfaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing any concerns related to the building's facilities and ensuring a high level of tenant satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance coordination, ideally in a Build to Rent or residential property environment.
  • Familiarity with building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and building compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and senior management.
