About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological services to women and birthing people experiencing severe and complex mental health needs during the perinatal period.

Working closely with our Professional Lead and Service Manager/s, you will ensure the systematic provision of a comprehensive psychological service that meets the needs of our clients. This will involve providing clinical leadership and supervision to less experienced staff, trainees, and volunteers, as well as participating in the development and implementation of strategies and clinical policies within our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality psychological services to women and birthing people experiencing severe and complex mental health needs during the perinatal period.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to less experienced staff, trainees, and volunteers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and clinical policies within our multidisciplinary team.

The salary for this role is approximately £62,000 - £82,000 per annum, depending on experience, and includes a range of benefits including generous annual leave, flexible working arrangements, and access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Essential Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the British Psychological Society (BPS) as a Chartered Psychologist.
  • Experience of working in adult mental health services, particularly in the context of perinatal mental health.
