This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking pharmacist to contribute to the Medication Safety, Governance and Information team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality Medicines Information service that meets national standards, supporting the work of the Medicines Optimisation Group and managing the Trust's Medicines Formulary.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage the business of the Trust Medicines Optimisation Group, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Regular attendance at Medicines Optimisation and other relevant meetings, contributing to the development of policies and guidelines.
- Train and supervise junior and pre-registration pharmacists, promoting their professional development and growth.
- Support the development of policies, guidelines, and PGDs, ensuring compliance with national standards and best practices.
- Handle queries from healthcare professionals and patients, providing accurate and timely information on medicines and their use.
- Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent qualification) or working towards.
- Experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, with a strong understanding of medicines information and formulary management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
