Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician to work onsite in general practice within Barnet PCN.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking medicine reconciliations of patient records/prescribing in line with practice protocols, updating patient records, and supporting medicine reviews and synchronization for groups of patients, care homes, and helping patients to get the best from their medicines by switching medications to agreed and approved protocols.

The role will involve carrying out prescribing audits and medicines safety alerts, and contributing to Structures Medication Reviews (SMRs) in collaboration with the clinical pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake medicine reconciliations of patient records/prescribing in line with practice protocols
  • Update patient records, support medicine reviews and synchronization for groups of patients, care homes
  • Help patients to get the best from their medicines by switching medications to agreed and approved protocols
  • Carry out prescribing audits and medicines safety alerts
  • Contribute to Structures Medication Reviews (SMRs) in collaboration with the clinical pharmacist

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in a clinical setting within general practice as a registered pharmacy technician
  • Relevant degree/qualification to show registration as a pharmacy technician
  • Highly focused and motivated individual
