Electronics Engineer / Test Development Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer / Test Development Engineer to join our team at a world-leading manufacturer based in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar electronics product design environment and will be responsible for developing and designing electronics products with a focus on the design of test equipment, fixtures, and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and designing electronics products with a focus on the design of test equipment, fixtures, and software.
  2. Working on the compliance side of testing.
  3. Maintaining EMC testing safety.
  4. Working with a multidisciplinary team using skills in electronics and software.
  5. Debugging electronic and system designs.
  6. Testing of products in the test house.
  7. Creating products.
  8. Creating technical documentation.
  9. Liaising with manufacturing teams in both the UK and US.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an electronics product design environment.
  2. Experience with various microcontrollers.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of analogue and digital circuits.
  4. Understanding of product design from spec with consideration of DFT and DFM.
  5. EMC knowledge and experience is a must.
  6. Good understanding of test automation tools e.g. LabView.
  7. Commutable to Glasgow.
