Electronics Product Design Engineer

Join a world-leading manufacturer in Glasgow and take on a challenging role as an Electronics Product Design Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and designing electronics products with a focus on test equipment, fixtures, and software. Your expertise in electronics and software will be essential in maintaining EMC testing safety and working with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and designing electronics products with a focus on test equipment, fixtures, and software
  • Maintaining EMC testing safety
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team using skills in electronics and software
  • Debugging electronic and system designs
  • Testing of products in the test house
  • Creating products and technical documentation
  • Liaising with manufacturing teams in the UK and US

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an electronics product design environment
  • Experience with various microcontrollers
  • Knowledge and understanding of analogue and digital circuits
  • Understanding of product design from spec with consideration of DFT and DFM
  • EMC knowledge and experience is a must
  • Good understanding of test automation tools e.g. LabView
  • Commutable to Glasgow
