Job Title: Care Activities Coordinator

Location: White Windows, Fore Lane, Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX6 1BH

Rate Of Pay: £11.50 per hour

Shift Patterns: Full time, Day Shifts

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Activities Coordinator to join our team at White Windows. As a Care Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and encouraging residents to participate in meaningful activities, while maintaining their independence, choice, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and encourage residents to join in activities that promote their physical and mental wellbeing
  • Create a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events for residents to enjoy
  • Work with each new resident to understand their likes, dislikes, abilities, and needs to develop an individual social care plan
  • Engage the local community in the daily lives of residents by initiating contact with local community groups

About the Service:

White Windows is a wheelchair-accessible residential home providing support and accommodation for up to 25 individuals with physical disabilities or neurological conditions.

We support individuals with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, or hydrocephalus, as well as individuals living with Parkinson's or Huntington's Diseases.

Our dedicated team of highly skilled and trained support workers and carers have experience with PEG/NG care, wound management, and end-of-life care.

Requirements:

  • 6-months experience as a Care Activities Coordinator or 1 year working as an experienced Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant/Domiciliary Carer
  • UK driving licence desirable
  • Ability to work on a shift/rota pattern
  • Right to work in the UK
