About the Role

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to fill the role of Clinical Lead and Teacher Practitioner Pharmacist. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in education and training at a Health Board with strong university links.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of training programmes for the whole spectrum of staff within the pharmacy team.
  • Organise and deliver medicines-related training to undergraduate pharmacy students on placements within the Health Board.
  • Maintain clinical currency by providing a specialist clinical pharmacy service to patients and staff in an appropriate speciality.
  • Develop, manage, and promote education and training for all pharmacy staff at CTMUHB.

Requirements

  • Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Postgraduate Qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Experience in hospital/managed sector pharmacy, including extensive experience in clinical pharmacy.
  • Ability to work as a lead practitioner and train/supervise other members of staff.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Independent Prescriber qualification.
  • Postgraduate Teaching Qualification.
  • Quality improvement and IQT methodology qualification.
