Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Standards Assessor to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. As a Vehicle Standards Assessor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of Britain's roads by conducting annual test inspections of heavy goods vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough annual test inspections of heavy goods vehicles to determine their roadworthiness.
  2. Record results digitally and issue documentation to relevant parties.
  3. Provide expert advice on vehicle safety and maintenance to ensure compliance with roadworthiness standards.
  4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the safe operation of vehicles on Britain's roads.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance road safety.
