Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Inspector to join our team at Contract Scotland. As a Senior Structural Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out structural inspections, investigations, and testing works, including desktop studies and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out structural inspections, investigations, and testing works, including desktop studies and reporting
  • Operate independently without supervision, responsible for aspects of project management
  • Compile site H&S files/RAMS, deal with booking traffic management, arrange plant, and allocate resources
  • Liaise with clients to name but some senior-level duties
  • Carry out data analysis/desktop studies prior to all site works, including reviewing previous reports and drawings
  • Ensure preparation and completion of site Health & Safety files and Risk Assessment/Method Statement packs/Work Permits
  • Organise specialist access/plant for all allocated projects
  • Assist in project programming
  • Be the main point of contact for the project client and all associated subcontractors whilst on site and in the office
  • Record project progress and provide accurate reporting figures
  • Lead by example and ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to

Requirements:

  • Experience in inspecting and testing a wide range of structural types
  • Excellent knowledge in the preparation of examination reports
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • CSCS (Green - Construction Site Operative) Required
  • SSSTS/SMSTS Required
  • IPAF Required
  • Confined Space Training Required
  • IRATA Level 1/2/3 Desirable
  • ICORR Paint Level 2 & MPI Knowledge & Certification Desirable
  • Strong Knowledge of NDT techniques and interpretation of Data Required
  • PTS qualified with valid medical Desirable
