We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Family Based Care team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting and sustaining a range of family-based care placements to meet the needs of children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, assess, and supervise carers to provide high-quality care to children and young people.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage existing carer relationships and ensure service delivery meets the needs of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with practice team colleagues and other professionals to ensure responsive and high-quality services.
  • Contribute to the Service Improvement Plan and demonstrate leadership skills to support delivery.
  • Support safeguarding of children and young people, demonstrating experience and knowledge of child protection.
  • Support the FBC Intake duty service and lead day-to-day practices and decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in children and families settings.
  • Competence in supporting carers to provide high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs.
  • Understanding and application of Regulations, Policy, and Legislation relevant to foster care.
  • Ability to lead and manage complex casework with support.
  • Leadership skills and qualities to support delivery of the Service Improvement Plan.
