Senior Early Years Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Cuiken Primary School. As a Senior Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in leading and managing the delivery of high-quality early years education and care to our young children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the early years team to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and care to children aged 3-5 years.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote children's learning and development, including planning, observation, and assessment.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care for children.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children and staff.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, support staff, and external agencies, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
Requirements:
- SVQ3 in Childcare & Early Years Education or an HNC in Childcare and Education, or equivalent.
- Level 2 Child Protection and Risk Assessment and Process Training.
- Elementary Food Hygiene and First Aid for Childcare Certificate.
- Proven leadership qualities, good communication, organisational, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of developing self-reflection and evaluative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and take on additional responsibilities as required.
Desirable:
- BA in Childhood Practices.
- Froebel qualification.
- Experience of supporting children with ASN, knowledge of positive behaviour strategies, and experience of using a family learning approach to support children and families.
