We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Auldearn Primary School.

Job Purpose:

To work as an effective member of the nursery team, ensuring the delivery of a quality early learning and childcare experience for children. To provide a leadership role within the setting for other early years staff, guiding the delivery of early level learning under the direction of the Head Teacher. To engage parents in their children's learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the nursery team in delivering high-quality early learning and childcare services.
  • Provide guidance and support to early years staff to ensure the delivery of early level learning.
  • Engage with parents to promote their involvement in their children's learning.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to early years education.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a recognized qualification in Childcare and Education, such as HNC/NNEB/SVQ 3, and will be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Practitioner in the Day Care of Children Services. Qualifications in Food Handling and First Aid are desirable.
