Job Summary

As a Mental Health Nurse at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, you will be part of a team delivering high-quality person-centered care to patients. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and other professionals. A sound understanding of risk management and the CTP process is essential.

Key Responsibilities

You will be able to work flexibly to meet the rational shift patterns to cover a 24-hour period. The successful candidate must have an interest in acute inpatient care and enjoy working in a busy and challenging environment. Physical fitness is required for PMVA training.

About the Role

The acute mental health unit provides assessment, treatment, and stabilization of patients with mental health problems. This is a 23-bedded unit serving the Caerphilly Borough for patients from 18 to 65 years old. The unit works closely with the West Gwent Home Treatment Team and Community Mental Health teams.
