Care Assistant Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Assistant Specialist to join our team at Thera East Midlands. This rewarding role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of adults with a learning disability.
About the RoleAs a Care Assistant Specialist, you will be responsible for providing personalized support to individuals in their daily lives. This may include helping them develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, and assisting with leisure, employment, and travel activities. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to empower individuals to live the lives they choose, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to adults with a learning disability in various settings, including their homes and communities.
- Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and administering medication (if trained to do so).
- Help individuals develop new skills and interests, and support them in achieving their goals and ambitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative solutions to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- No prior experience or qualifications are required; we offer comprehensive free training and development opportunities.
- You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being compassionate, caring, confident, and resilient.
- A self-starter with a high level of motivation, keen to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and professionally.
- Keenness to learn, creatively solve problems, and embody our values and vision.
