Machining Research Lead

Key ResponsibilitiesThis exciting opportunity will involve:
- Leading technical work and budgeting, scheduling, and risk management in the product lifecycle
- Collaborating with academic partners to advance metallic manufacturing technologies
- Preparing technology development plans and business cases
- Maintaining and updating project plans to ensure progress towards deliverables and milestones
- Visiting ecosystem partners to discuss project work and progress
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A higher degree qualification, such as a Master's or PhD, in a relevant field
- Hands-on experience in machining and one or more core metallic manufacturing technologies, such as forming or additive manufacturing
- Experience of planning and managing research projects and budgets over £50k
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Previous experience in R&D and project management
