The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching Geography and a passion for the subject, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- To deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to the needs of all students, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.
- To develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations that meet the requirements of the National Curriculum and other relevant standards.
- To build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a positive and inclusive school community.
- To contribute to the development of curriculum policies and procedures, ensuring they align with the school's vision and values.
- To stay up-to-date with developments in Geography education, attending professional development opportunities and sharing best practices with colleagues.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience of teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends.
