Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Practice Nurse who will join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality healthcare services. The successful candidate will work closely with our doctors and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless care to our patients.

The role will involve seeing patients, treating and reviewing their conditions, referring when necessary, and working within a multi-disciplinary team to prevent unplanned hospital admissions.

Main Duties

  • Provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients in line with current evidence-based guidelines.
  • Treat minor illnesses and injuries, including ear syringing and cervical cytology smear tests.
  • Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension, and spirometry.
  • Conduct routine immunizations, injections, and health screening.
  • Dietary advice and general health guidance.
  • Assist GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (Nursing and Midwifery Council) with postgraduate qualifications or degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).
  • Independent prescriber status.
  • Experience in primary care, preferably as a Practice Nurse or Community Nurse.
  • Chronic disease management experience desirable.
