We are seeking a Health Visitor to join our team in Hackney and the City. As a Health Visitor, you will be responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme and working closely with GPs, Early Years Settings, and Nurseries.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the named Health Visitor for a caseload of children linked to a GP practice
  • Manage vulnerable children, attend Child Protection Case Conferences, Core Group, Child in Need meetings, and other professional meetings
  • Lead on key interventions and health promotion activities, such as delivery of integrated development reviews using the ASQ questionnaire
  • Oversee the health promotion work undertaken by the nursery nurse team, working closely with parents and children's centers to deliver personalized advice and support

Essential Criteria

  • Health Visiting professional qualification with entry onto 3rd part of NMC

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge/understanding of confidentiality issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Healthy Child Programme, High Impact Areas, ASQ Integrated Reviews
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current legislation in relation to the profession i.e. Child Protection
  • Demonstrate an understanding of recent developments in Health Visiting
  • Awareness of developments in Public Health Involvement
  • Clinical Governance and Risk Management
  • Demonstrate knowledge of equality and diversity
  • Have an awareness of Patient/Public Involvement in service development
