Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular updates to teachers and parents.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working with SEN pupils in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, remaining flexible and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
