Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Connex Education is seeking a Psychology Graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant in a SEND setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of psychology principles and be able to apply them in a supportive role.

About the Role
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals in a mentoring relationship.
  • Help pupils set and achieve personal and academic goals.
  • Share knowledge and expertise in a specific field or area of interest.
  • Assist pupils in developing new skills and overcoming challenges.
  • Act as a role model and provide positive reinforcement to pupils.
  • Foster a supportive and trusting relationship with a range of pupils.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Active listening skills to understand individual pupils' needs and concerns.
  • Empathy and the ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils.
  • Patience and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
