About the Role

Connex Education is seeking Psychology Graduates to work as SEND Teaching Assistants on a flexible basis. We partner with SEN Schools across Cheshire West, catering to pupils aged 5-19 with diverse needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities.

We offer day-to-day supply or full-time temporary roles, allowing you to choose your schedule. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide guidance and support to individuals in a mentoring relationship, helping pupils set and achieve personal and academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals in a mentoring relationship.
  • Help pupils set and achieve personal and academic goals.
  • Share knowledge and expertise in a specific field or area of interest.
  • Assist pupils in developing new skills and overcoming challenges.
  • Act as a role model and provide positive reinforcement to pupils.
  • Foster a supportive and trusting relationship with a range of pupils.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Active listening skills to understand individual pupils' needs and concerns.
  • Empathy and the ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils.
  • Patience and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
