Head Chef Opportunity at Bridge Tavern

Bridge Tavern, a renowned institution on Newcastle's Quayside, is seeking a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As a passionate advocate for food and hospitality, you will oversee kitchen staff, ensure high standards of quality and sanitation, and contribute to the development of new dishes and menus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of daily service.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring all team members meet our company standards.
  • Maintain consistency and quality in daily food presentation and menu development.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stock levels using order sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen area.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a similar setting.
  • Food Safety Level 3 desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and food GP and costings.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
