We're seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at News UK. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, with room for growth and professional development.

Based in London, you'll work closely with our editorial team to deliver high-quality content to millions of readers every day. As a key member of our administrative support team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our newsroom.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Administrative Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT FOR THE EDITORIAL TEAM
  • COORDINATING MEETINGS AND SCHEDULING PROJECT TIMELINES
  • DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING RECORDS IN DATABASES
  • IDENTIFYING INSTANCES WHERE PROCESSES COULD BE DEVELOPED FOR IMPROVED EFFICIENCY AND REPORTING THESE TO THE ME
  • DEVELOPING POSITIVE AND PRODUCTIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS ACROSS KEY SUPPORT AREAS, BECOMING A POINT OF CONTACT ALONGSIDE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE MEO FOR FACILITIES, TECHNOLOGY, FINANCE AND HR

Requirements:

To succeed as an Administrative Support Specialist, you'll need:

  • ABLE TO WORK CALMLY UNDER PRESSURE AND MEET TIGHT DEADLINES
  • EXPERIENCE OF ADMINISTRATION IN A LARGE AND FAST PACED ORGANISATION
  • AN ABILITY TO ADAPT TO A CHANGING WORK ENVIRONMENT AS REQUIRED
  • PUNCTUAL AND IS ALWAYS PREPARED TO 'GO THE EXTRA MILE' WHERE NECESSARY
  • ABLE TO WORK OFF OWN INITIATIVE AND AS PART OF A TEAM
  • KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT OFFICE PACKAGES, ESPECIALLY WORD AND EXCEL
  • KNOWLEDGE OF GOOGLE MAIL G-SUITE
  • TRACK RECORD OF HAVING DELIVERED EXCELLENT ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AND SERVICES
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE ASSISTING WITH ADMINISTRATION AN ADVANTAGE
