Prison Waste Reduction Coordinator

About the Role:
The Prison Waste Reduction Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating waste management and sustainability initiatives within a prison environment. The role involves supervising prisoners in waste management processes, promoting skills development through WAMITAB qualifications, and supporting the prison's sustainability targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate waste collection and disposal operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and increase recycling rates, working closely with prisoners and external partners.
- Monitor and report on waste management performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action.
- Provide training and support to prisoners to develop their skills and confidence in waste management and sustainability.
- Collaborate with contractors and external partners to deliver effective waste management services and promote best practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration and mutual respect among team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in waste management and sustainability.
Estimated Salary: £22,000 - £32,000 per annum
