Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Lighting Technician to join our Technical Services team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of lighting systems in our studio theatres and events spaces.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in a technical theatre environment, particularly in theatre lighting design, rigging, focusing, and plotting. You will also have experience of working in the live technical operation of theatre/event performances, focusing on lighting operation.

In this role, you will work closely with our production team to deliver high-quality performances and events. You will also contribute to the development of new technologies and techniques, ensuring that our facilities remain at the forefront of industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, and operating lighting systems
  • Assisting with the setup and striking of sets and stage layouts
  • Collaborating with the production team to deliver high-quality performances and events
  • Developing new technologies and techniques to enhance our facilities

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of working in a technical theatre environment
  • Expertise in theatre lighting design, rigging, focusing, and plotting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
