About the Role:
The Association of British Theatre Technicians is seeking a skilled Performing Arts Technician to join their team. As a key member of the Technical Services team, you will provide support to performing arts courses and university events. Your primary focus will be on supporting undergraduate, research, and IGA activities within studio theatres and events spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for live performances, including lighting operation, rigging, and plotting.
- Operate, maintain, and perform safety checks on equipment, as well as updating inventory records.
- Collaborate with staff and students across various subject disciplines to adapt knowledge and experience to meet diverse needs.
Requirements:
- HND level education in a relevant subject or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience working in technical theatre, particularly with theatre lighting design, rigging, focusing, and plotting.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and collaborate with a diverse team.
