About the Role

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and innovative Consultant Practitioner to join our team in developing and implementing frailty services. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing values-based professional expert and evidence-based practice across pathways, services, and systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide values-based leadership across the care pathway, services, and systems in complex and changing situations.
  • Develop staff potential, add to, and transform the workforce, and help people to learn, develop, and improve (in and from practice) to promote excellence.
  • Develop a 'knowledge-rich and inquiry' culture across the service and system that contributes to research outputs and has a positive effect on development, quality, innovation, increasing capacity and capability, and making systems more effective.
  • Establishing expertise across the system and nationally by using consultancy approaches and opportunities that have maximum impact on practice, services, communities, and populations, and which add to and sustain workforce capacity and capability.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a professional UK registration, an Advanced Clinical Practice Master's degree, or a health-related Master's degree with evidence of equivalence of Advanced Level practice capabilities via the portfolio route. They will also have independent non-medical prescribing or pharmacology level 7 profession relevant qualification, management qualification or significant senior management experience in a healthcare setting, and evidence of significant professional and managerial development, including a comprehensive and relevant CPD portfolio.
