About the Role

Castle View Group is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Bending Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape metal plates and sheets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine the required specifications for each job.
  2. Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal plates and sheets.
  3. Select the appropriate tooling, dies, and machinery settings for each bending operation.
  4. Position metal plates and sheets onto the press brake machine and accurately align them according to the specified measurements.
  5. Adjust machine settings such as speed, pressure, and depth to ensure precise bending and shaping of the metal.
  6. Monitor the operation of the press brake machine, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
  7. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications, dimensions, and quality standards.
  8. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent malfunctions.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or notify the maintenance department for repairs.

Working Hours and Salary

">

The working hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 7am-4:30pm, and the salary is £13-15 per hour.
