Automotive Disassembly Technician

We are seeking a Scrap Metal Recycling Specialist to join our team at British Metals Recycling Association. As a Scrap Metal Recycling Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient dismantling of cars and removal of metal components.
Estimated salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Main Responsibilities- Dismantle cars and remove metal components, including engines, transmissions, and chassis.
- Sort and categorize removed metal components by type and grade.
- Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and cranes, to move and store metal components.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of dismantled vehicles and removed metal components.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in scrap metal recycling or heavy vehicle dismantling.
- Valid manual handling certification and experience working with heavy machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with colleagues.
