Emergency Department Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Nurse to join our team as a Band 7 Team Leader. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical and leadership skills.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical leadership in the Emergency Department, working closely with the senior nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team functioning.
- Participate in research, audit, and service development initiatives to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance.
- Work clinically in all areas of the department, including Resus, assessment, and as Nurse in Charge.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Registered Nurse (Adult) or Registered Nurse (Child) qualification.
- Core post-registration emergency nursing education (Acutely unwell Adult or Child, Emergency Practice or equivalent).
- Practise assessor qualification.
- BSc or evidence of study at level 6 with ability to complete BSc.
- Safeguarding level 3 qualification.
- ATNC, ETC, or equivalent (or able to undertake within 6 months).
- ALS qualification.
- HMIMMS (or able to undertake within 1 year).
- APLS qualification.
- MSc or evidence of study at level 7.
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience; at least 4 years within the specialty.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Experience of audit and/or research.
- Well-developed leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload and workload of others.
- Demonstrates effective teaching skills.
- Work confidentially within all areas of the ED.
- Management course.
£54,320 to £60,981 a year per annum inc HCAS (pro-rata).
Permanent, Full-time.
