Behaviour Support Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at a dynamic secondary school in Morpeth. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social emotional behaviour difficulties, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Establish and maintain a 1:1 mentoring relationship with identified students, drawing up agreed action plans to outline the aims of the mentoring.
  • Collaborate with teachers, Heads of House, and support staff to promote the effective use of behaviour management strategies.
  • Work with parents to support the work of the school in improving individual children's behaviour and ensuring effective communication between school and home.
  • Support individuals or groups to raise self-esteem and confidence, promoting personal and social skills.
  • Monitor progress in improving behaviour and maintain improvements once made.
