About Our Team
Warrington Borough Council's Educational Psychology Service is a dynamic and supportive team that shares core values and practices in a variety of ways. As a relatively small service, we are undergoing significant growth and development in response to increased demand.
Our Service
We are seeking experienced or soon-to-graduate Trainee Educational Psychologists to join our team. The positions offer flexibility for individuals who prefer flexible and/or part-time hours.
Our Focus
Our team consists of experienced psychologists and newer entrants to the profession. We make a valuable contribution to the high-quality provision for children and young people in Warrington through preventative work with schools and the community. We have strong links to Speech and Language, the Child Development Centre, the Virtual School for Children in Care, Early Years providers, and other services.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply psychology creatively to maximize impact and contribute to Warrington Council's priority areas.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop areas of specialist interests.
- Provide high-quality service to Warrington's children and young people, families, schools, services, and the local authority.

Requirements
- DBS clearance is required, and the cost will be covered as part of the recruitment process.
- Permanent contract 1.0 FTE.
- Salary: Soulbury Salary Scale A, spinal point 3-8, £42,811 - £52,440 (Plus up to 3 SPA points).
- This is a casual car user post.
- DBS clearance is required.
- The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
