Job Summary:

Stericycle, a leading provider of compliance-based solutions, is seeking an experienced Accounting Officer to join our Credit Management team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the efficient maintenance and processing of high-volume accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments and resolving supplier issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Match and scan invoices to POs on the Proactis System
  2. Process payments runs and manage subcontractor payments
  3. Analyze invoices for accuracy of cost allocations and liaise with management accounts/sites to verify costs and coding
  4. Deal with site and supplier invoice and payment issues, including supplier reconciliations
  5. Advise on best practices and provide support to the Accounts Payable Team Leader
  6. Perform additional duties as required

Requirements:

  • A-Level education
  • Previous experience in an accounts payable team, with AAT qualification desirable
  • Experience in a high-volume input role, with ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of IT skills and ability to work flexibly, particularly during busy periods
