Job Description

The Governance Function comprises a small team that supports the Chair, Board, and Executive Committee at Canary Wharf. The role involves working closely with Executive leadership, Chair, Chief Risk Officer, General Counsel, Board members, Committee Chairs, and Independent Non-Executives.

The main purpose of this role is to provide end-to-end meeting support for the Risk Executive and Audit Executive. There's also an expectation to cover other Executive and Board Committees as needed.

This role reports into the Group Head of Governance and Legal Counsel, and CGI qualification or part-qualification is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meeting agendas for review by Chairs of Committees.
  • Interpret governance documents to make recommendations on applicable governance principles.
  • Assist with drafting and coordinating relevant sections for the Transparency Report.
  • Compile and publish Executive and Committee papers using Teams.
  • Provide seamless cover for Assistant Governance Managers and Senior Governance Manager during periods of annual leave.
  • Produce accurate and timely minutes of meetings.
  • Review and update annual meeting planners for Committees.

  • Maintain an archive of Committee meeting papers and minutes.
  • Respond to requests for documentation from auditors and regulators.
About the Role

You'll work independently, using your own initiative to manage your workload. Strong organisational skills and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines are essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and health insurance.
