We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Officer to join our Digital and Data team at the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Senior Programme Manager to manage the adoption of frameworks and tools to improve project, programme, and portfolio governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as service manager for our project management tooling, ensuring seamless integration and adoption across the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve project, programme, and portfolio governance, aligning with the WMCA's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our project management practices.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to project managers and teams, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, governance, and digital transformation.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
