Job Title: Cardiology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cardiology Specialist Nurse to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Cardiology Specialist Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the continuing care of patients undergoing PCI, working closely with the Consultant Nurse in Cardiology.
  • Deliver a high standard of care to cardiology patients, including running nurse-led preadmission and follow-up clinics.
  • Collaborate with the cardiology team to develop and implement clinical changes, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Act as an expert resource for patients, relatives, and colleagues, providing guidance on the care of cardiology patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the investigation of complaints and incidents, ensuring that all actions are taken in accordance with Trust policy and procedure.
Requirements:
  • Experience in cardiology nursing, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular conditions and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management principles, with the ability to apply these in practice.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, with a strong understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
