We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Video Editor to join our team at Electrify Video Partners. As a Freelance Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality digital video content for our YouTube channel, which focuses on physics and science education.
Key Responsibilities:- Edit high-quality videos that incorporate live action and animation footage, utilizing video editing software and collaborating with animators.
- Work closely with writers and researchers to ensure all video content is accurate, informative, and engaging.
- Sourcing and integrating third-party footage to the edit.
- Ensure that the channel's visual language and editing style, built over the last decade, is continued within all future edits.
- Manage and organize video footage and all final deliverables as per our delivery specifications.
- A passion for physics and science with the ability to communicate complex concepts to a broad audience; previous experience working with science material is a must.
- 3+ years of experience in video editing and accompanying showreel, with an emphasis on digital content creation and experience with YouTube.
- Advanced proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other related software.
- A strong understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms and how to optimize content for those platforms.
- Experience with self-shooting or working as part of a small camera crew is a big plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
