Electrify Video Partners: A Dynamic Digital Media Company

We are a dynamic new digital media company that invests in and scales creators with an established YouTube presence. Our mission is to turn creators into global media businesses by building teams, scaling the production and distribution of their content, and introducing new revenue streams across platforms.

We acquire between 50% and 100% of creator businesses with an established YouTube presence and have raised multiple funding rounds with significant existing revenue streams.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and experienced video editor to join our remote digital video team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for composing clips, editing audio, and delivering polished videos related to programming.

The successful candidate will have some familiarity with programming, as understanding the source material is essential for effective editing. They will collaborate with the team to turn written episodes into well-paced and polished episodes that tell the story without losing a viewer's interest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, select, and import suitable media elements (videos, images, audio)
  • Collaborate closely with the scriptwriter to understand visual requirements and ensure alignment with the overall storytelling vision
  • Manage multiple edit projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain project momentum
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation to ensure easy access to assets and seamless collaboration with team members
  • Assist in the production of Fireship's content to increase the quantity and variety of output, contributing to the growth and engagement of the audience
Requirements
  • Experience in video editing, with an emphasis on digital content creation and experience with YouTube
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and other related software
  • A strong understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms and how to optimize content for those platforms
  • Strong understanding of programming and storytelling, with a deep understanding of both industries
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Able to replicate the tone and style of the channel's content
