We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Newport Community Wards, Royal Gwent Hospital.
As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the senior staff with the running of the wards on a shift-by-shift basis. You will be responsible for undertaking management responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager and demonstrating evidence-based clinical practice.
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, as well as acting as a mentor with recognized mentor experience and a proven history of providing supervision to junior staff.
Main Responsibilities:- Support the senior staff with the running of the wards on a shift-by-shift basis
- Undertake management responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidenced-based nursing care
- Act as a mentor and provide supervision to junior staff
