Job Title: Property Director

The University of Reading is seeking a highly experienced Property Director to lead the strategic and operational management of its diverse property portfolio.

About the Role

As a key member of the University's Estates team, the Property Director will be responsible for overseeing the management of over 200 buildings and 250,000m2 of space, spanning academic, research, enterprise, sport, recreation, and residential facilities.

The Property Director will lead a team that undertakes a broad range of activities, including lettings, acquisitions, disposals, and asset and property management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic asset management across the University's property portfolio
  • Leadership of a team responsible for property management, lettings, and acquisitions
  • Development and implementation of property investment strategies
  • Management of relationships with external partners and stakeholders
Requirements

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in a senior and strategic role as the lead property professional across a diverse estate portfolio.

Candidates should have demonstrable breadth of experience in the property industry, with exposure to transactions, asset management, and property management.

The successful candidate will possess the leadership abilities to manage, develop, and motivate an internal property team.
