About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Blyth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with varied Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN in all lessons, adapting to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Work closely with Class Teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities that cater to the needs of pupils.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the different needs and learning styles of pupils, working collaboratively with the Class Teacher and colleagues.
  • Support pupils during breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

The Primary School is an inspirational setting with a supportive culture and outstanding Leadership Team. The school offers opportunities to support pupils across the School from EYFS-Year 6, depending on the experience and specialism of the successful applicant.

What We Offer
  • Competitive pay rate: £80-90 per day.
  • Full-time contract until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025.
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Location: Blyth.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired).Experience of working with children in schools in the UK.An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.A resilient, proactive, and positive nature.Hold a Right to Work in the UK.Ability to drive and access to a car (desired).Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years.
