Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to students with diverse Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic Primary School setting.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a patient demeanor, and the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with varied SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD, in all lessons and activities.
- Work closely with the Class Teacher to develop and implement tailored learning plans that cater to the unique needs and learning styles of students.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging learning activities that promote academic and personal growth.
- Develop a deep understanding of the diverse needs and learning styles of students within the classroom, working collaboratively with the Class Teacher and colleagues to establish effective support strategies.
- Provide support during breaktimes and lunchtimes as required, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
The role is based in an inspiring Primary School in Blyth, offering opportunities to support students across the School from EYFS to Year 6, depending on the candidate's experience and specialism.

Requirements- A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
- Experience of working with children in Schools in the UK
- An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with students and staff
- A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Ability to drive and access to a car (desired)
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
