About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Prison Offender Manager - Rehabilitation Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about rehabilitation and has a strong understanding of offender management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to offenders through the implementation of their sentence plans, ensuring they achieve their goals and reduce the risk of reoffending.
  • Maintain regular face-to-face contact with offenders and their external stakeholders, building strong relationships and staying up-to-date with their offending behavior.
  • Accountability for brokering arrangements for offenders to attend activities and interventions identified in their sentence plans, promoting a rehabilitative culture.
  • Identify and address any new problems or issues that may affect the risk posed by offenders or their achievement of their sentence plan goals, working closely with the Offender Manager to review and re-plan accordingly.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of Offender Management Unit work and experience of working in a custodial environment.
  • Excellent IT, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to work in a busy office environment.
  • Confidence in working alone using initiative, with strong interpersonal skills and a good standard of education, including English and Maths.
