Audit Leadership Position

RSM is seeking an experienced Audit Partner to join our Asset Management practice in California. As a trusted advisor, you will lead audits of financial services clients, providing expert guidance and support to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple engagements, oversee engagement status, and ensure milestones are met for clients in Financial Services, Asset Management, Specialty Finance, and Fintech.
- Identify technical accounting matters early, assess their impact, and coordinate with firm specialists as needed.
- Review work product, communicate audit status to clients, and assess resources needed for project completion.
- Maintain client relationships throughout the year, developing a deep understanding of their goals and strategies.
- Manage profitability, evaluate growth strategies, and assess risk.
- Develop a strategy to leverage external relationships for business growth.
- Provide business advice and present yourself as a trusted business advisor.
- Monitor and review work product, report on performance, and articulate coaching notes.
- Develop others within the firm through training, advising on career development, and participating in firm initiatives.
- Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as needed.
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- CPA certification.
- 12+ years of current or recent audit experience in public accounting, focusing on financial services clients.
- 8+ years' experience auditing companies in Financial Services, Asset Management, Banking, Specialty Finance, or Fintech.
- Proven record of building profitable client relationships and directing team members on multiple engagements.
- Understanding of audit services, GAAP, GAAS, and FASB regulations.
