Speech and Language Therapist in Stroke Rehabilitation Position

About the Role:
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in North Ayrshire, based at the Douglas Grant Rehabilitation Centre.
The successful candidate will have specialist skills in working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties post stroke, and will work collaboratively with patients and carers, as well as the multi-disciplinary team, to deliver effective and comprehensive rehabilitation to people, post stroke, across North Ayrshire.
The role involves assessing, treating and managing a shared caseload, and providing clinical support and leadership to students, SLTAs, rehab support workers and Band 5 SLTs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective and comprehensive rehabilitation to people, post stroke, across North Ayrshire
- Assess, treat and manage a shared caseload
- Provide clinical support and leadership to students, SLTAs, rehab support workers and Band 5 SLTs
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a multi-agency environment, delivering change and service improvement
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- University Degree or equivalent
- Certificate to practise from HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
- Post Graduate Qualification in Dysphagia
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership: Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
