Helicopter Instructor

About the Role

Ascent Flight Training is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Helicopter Instructor to join our team. As a QHI, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to military trainees, using state-of-the-art synthetic training devices and flying the latest generation of the Airbus H135 and H145.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ground theory lessons and instruct basic and advanced techniques using cutting-edge synthetic devices.
• Instruct on courses of increasing complexity, from ab-initio to specific tactical courses for each service.
• Support crewman courses by flying the aircraft for their specific syllabus sorties.
• Supervise flying and contribute to the 'Just' flight safety culture at RAF Shawbury.
• Drive continuous improvement in courseware and the working environment.

Requirements

• Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI) qualification from previous employment in the UK military.
• Ability to deliver high-quality instruction using the latest technology.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
• Courage and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions.
• Responsibility for continuous development and creation of courseware.
