About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Helicopter Instructor to join our team at Ascent Flight Training. As a QHI, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to military trainees, using state-of-the-art synthetic training devices and flying the latest generation of helicopters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ground theory lessons and instruct basic and advanced techniques using synthetic devices.
- Instruct on courses of increasing complexity, including ab-initio and tactical courses.
- Support crewman courses by flying aircraft for specific syllabus sorties.
- Supervise flying and contribute to the 'Just' flight safety culture at RAF Shawbury.
- Drive continuous improvement in courseware and working environment.
Requirements
- Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI) qualification from previous employment in the UK military.
- Ability to deliver high-quality instruction using latest technology.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
- Courage and ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Responsible for continuous development and creation of courseware.
