Job Title: Senior Expert Animation Programmer

Job Summary:

Central Technology North Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Expert Animation Programmer to join its team based in Manchester. As a key member of our animation technology group, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of Call of Duty's animation technology, engine, and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the research, design, and implementation of new animation features and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality animation code that performs and scales well across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with content and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of animation technology into game development pipelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in animation technology, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our animation systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in C or C++ with experience working on low-level game animation systems.
  • Deep understanding of 3D math and algebra, as well as computing fundamentals.
  • Experience with animation technology, including inverse kinematics, blend trees, ragdolls, state machines, and secondary motion techniques.
  • Proven track record of producing clear and maintainable code that meets performance and scalability requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
